Mercedes Benz to increase its R&D expenditure in India
One of the largest luxury car manufacturer Mercedes Benz is planning to increase its expenditure on R&D in India by almost four times what it is currently spending. Company will invest Rs 150 crore in Indian market to expending its distribution network.

According to statement given by Wilfried Aulbur the Managing Director of Mercedes Benz in India to reporters, We will have between 500 and 1,000 engineers working for our R&D centre in Bangalore in the next few years. We currently have about 200-220 people working in the centre.
Mercedes Benz spends around 5% revenue of the company on R&D. According to company the Mercedes Benz group will invest Rs 150 crore to improve and expend its distribution network as well as to prepare for launch of a new car in India.
