Mercedes Benz R Class to be launched on 7th October
The numero uno luxury car maker in India, Mercedes Benz is all set to launch Mercedes Benz R Class in India on 7th October, 2010. This car will be the first crossover in India by the German car maker. The crossover is expected to be priced between Rs 60 lakh to Rs 65 lakh. This launch will also add to the on-going launch list in the festival season in the country, but for the God sake it is a purely new car not a refreshed or re-launch. There are also other car launches in India in this month including Fiat Linea T Jet, Tata Indica Vista, Skoda Yeti, Tata Aria, Hyundai Santa Fe, etc.

The Mercedes Benz R Class is reported to have a massive engine that is a 3.5 litre, DOHC, 24 valve, V6. The mill might be coupled with advanced 7 speed automatic transmission. This masterpiece delivers a top power of 272 bhp at 6,000 rpm and belts out peak torque of 350 Nm at 2400 rpm.
