Mercedes Benz GLA 45 AMG to Launch in October
Mercedes Benz is all set to foray into the compact luxury SUV segment with the GLA on this 30th. Now, Mercedes has got a rival against the BMW X1 and the top-selling Audi Q3. If you think this is it, Mercedes Benz India will also be launching this GLA in AMG avatar – GLA 45 AMG in October.

Mercedes' new compact luxury SUV – GLA 45 AMG is likely to be priced in the vicinity of the recently launched CLA 45 AMG, which is priced at 68.50 lakh. Like the CLA 45 AMG, GLA 45 AMG will also be the most affordable AMG-SUV on sale in the country.
Speaking of the changes, GLA 45 AMG gets similar AMG treatment, beefed up front bumper with large air-dams, new grille with subtle AMG badging and blacked-out roof. The rear bumper gets two-tone treatment with meaner looking diffuser with twin-dual exhausts.
Powering the GLA 45 AMG is the Mercedes 2.0 liter turbo charged 4-cylinder petrol heart; this is the same engine that is under the CLA 45 AMG. This AMG 2.0-liter turbo engine is the most powerful series-production four-cylinder turbo engine in the world.
The motor belts out 360hp of max power and a blistering 450Nm of peak torque features spray-guided direct petrol injection with piezo injectors. The engine is mated to an AMG SpeedShift DCT 7-Speed sports transmission and comes with three modes 'M' - Manual, 'S' – Sports and 'C' – Controlled Efficiency modes. GLA 45 AMG comes with standard AMG 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system.
