Maruti Swift powered with K-series engine

From April 2010 the tighter emission norms will come into effect and to follow it Maruti has come up with the latest version of Swift petrol and Swift Dzire petrol with a 1.2-litre engine complying with stricter BS-IV norms. This is the same engine as of Maruti Ritz which is acknowledged by consumers. The new 1.2L engine pumps a power output of 84bhp and produces maximum torque of 11.5kgm which improves transmission and enhances the performance in comparison to the earlier 1.3-liter petrol which produced 87bhp and 11.3kgm of torque.
