Maruti Grand Vitara 7-seater Expected To Be Launched By End Of 2025

Maruti said that it will be launching an all-new car by the end of 2025, which we think is the 7-seater version of the Grand Vitara

Maruti has recently confirmed that prices of the e Vitara will be revealed by the end of September 2025. Along with this, it has also been confirmed that the carmaker is planning to debut another combustion-powered model by the end of 2025. Notably, test mules of the 3-row version of the Grand Vitara have been spotted plying on the roads multiple times. This makes us assume that it might be the model that Maruti is planning to launch by the end of this year.

Maruti Grand Vitara 7-seater: An Overview

The spy shots suggest that the Maruti Grand Vitara 7-seater will get an exterior design that will be very different from the 5-seater version of the compact SUV. It will get sleeker LED DRLs and a split-style LED design. The sleek tail lights are connected and even though test mules are camouflaged, it closely resembles ones on the Tata Curvv. The front and rear bumper will also be redesigned to make it feel bulkier for better road presence.

The interior is yet to be spotted but in addition to the added row of seats, it can get a new dashboard design and new seat upholstery. In terms of features, it can borrow the e Vitara’s 10.25-inch touchscreen and multi-colour ambient lighting.

It is expected to continue with amenities including a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charger, ventilated front seats, an 8-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, a heads-up display (HUD), a wireless phone charger and auto AC with rear vents. Its safety suite is also likely to carry over 6 airbags (as standard), a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and a 360-degree camera. It could also come with some advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

Maruti Grand Vitara 7-seater: Powertrain Options

While the powertrain details of the 7-seater model is yet to be revealed, the 5-door Grand Vitara currently features the following engine options. It remains to be seen if the 7-seater version will use these powertrains or get different engine options.

Maruti Grand Vitara 7-seater: Expected Price and Rivals

The 7-seater Maruti Grand Vitara is expected to be priced from Rs 14 lakh (ex-showroom). It will rival the Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar, Mahindra XUV700 and MG Hector Plus after its launch in India.
