Mahindra XUV500 Launches in Nepal

India's leading utility vehicle maker, Mahindra Mahindra has now launched its global product XUV500 in Nepal on March 25. The vehicle was jointly unveiled by Pradeep Kumar, VP-International Operations- Automotive and Farm Equipment division, Mahindra Mahindra, Mr. Cabinet Shrestha, Managing Director, Agni Incorporated Pvt. Ltd (authorised distributor of Mahindra four-wheelers) and Suraj Vaidya, President- Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

The company also launched its new showroom and state-of-the-art service center operated by Balazu auto works stationed in the premises of Balaju Industrial estate. The Nepal spec XUV500 is to that of the version sold in India. Mahindra XUV500 has been launched in a total three models- XUV500 W6 2WD, W8 2WD and W8 AWD priced at Rs 5.3 million (Rs 33 lakh), 5.85 million and 6.15 million (Rs 38.37 lakh) respectively in Nepal.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Pradeep kumar said, “The launch of our first global SUV platform, the XUV500, is another proud moment in our automotive journey,”. The company has developed the XUV500 for the global customer, and MM believes that 'the XUV500 will create a brand new category in the premium SUV segment in the Nepali market'.

Shrestha said, “This award winning SUV offers inspirational styling, sophisticated technology, advanced safety features, comfort and convenience, which have hitherto been seen only in high-end SUVs,” adding that all this and much more at an unbeatable price makes this product nothing less than a category creator.
