Mahindra to Launch 9 Models in FY2015; New XUV5OO Launched in Chennai

Mahindra will be launching a total of nine cars in FY2015-16 in the form of three new cars, three major facelifts and three minor facelifts. The launch parade has already started with the national launch of the new XUV500 yesterday and the car was launched in Chennai today priced from Rs.11.35 lacs ex-showroom. Three new cars will include two compact SUVs codenamed S101 and U301. We have posted several spy shots of these cars being tested in various locations and the compact SUVs will be priced very competitively.

The cars to get facelifts on several levels and new variants include Quanto, Bolero, Xylo, Thar, Verito etc. An electric variant of the slow-moving Verito is also on the cards.

The new XUV500 gets several exterior and interior upgrades and new features. The styling upgrades include Stylish new front grille with chrome inserts, new static bending projector headlamps with S-shaped light guides, new bonnet and bumper, fog Lamps with chrome bezel, new alloy wheels, paw-styled door handles, black and beige interiors, icy blue lounge lighting, aluminium pedals etc. The new features include electric sunroof, first- in - class logo projection lamps on ORVMs, 6-way power-adjustable driver seat, push button start/stop, keyless entry, 7" touchscreen infotainment with GPS navigation, brake energy regeneration system, reverse parking camera with dynamic assist and nw voice messaging system.
