Mahindra announces winner of the innovative “Guess the Price” of the XUV 500 contest

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M), a part of the US $12.5 billion Mahindra Group, announced that Amit Mate, a technology consultant from Kolhapur, has been selected as the Grand Prize winner for the innovative ‘Guess the Price’ contest for the XUV 500. The key of the new XUV 500 was handed over to Amit Mate at a function held at a Mahindra dealership in Pune. Interestingly, Mahindra adopted an unconventional and innovative approach to the launch of the XUV 500, choosing to unleash the power of interactive online and social media, to increase the decibel levels for the brand.

Taking the social media interactivity a step ahead, Mahindra launched the unique “Guess the Price” contest, which would allow one lucky participant to drive home the much awaited global SUV, the XUV 500. The contest was a grand success with 6.5 lac site visitors, who helped unlock the webcam feeds and unveil the new Mahindra XUV 500 and 1.15 lac contestants entering the contest in just 11 days. Receiving the keys to his brand new Mahindra SUV the XUV 500 - Amit Mate said, “This is a dream come true for me, as I have been an avid Mahindra enthusiast since childhood & I always wanted to own one. Winning the XUV 500 is thus simply phenomenal.

I agree to buy at Rs 5 lacs for XUV500 and still the company will not be at loss. Indians are taken for granted to pay n pay n pay...!!
