While we await the Maruti e Vitara’s India launch, the made-in-India electric SUV’s detailed specifications have been revealed in the United Kingdom. The carmaker has confirmed that the electric SUV will offer a WLTP-claimed range of up to 426 km. Along with that, the carmaker has also detailed the charging times for the upcoming EV. Interestingly, the upcoming India-spec model will feature the same battery options and single-motor setup as the global version.

Powertrain & WLTP-Claimed Range
The Maruti e Vitara carries the same battery options and single-motor specifications in both India and global markets. However, it is also offered with an all-wheel-drive system featuring a dual-motor setup in the UK. The specifications and the claimed range for the three powertrain options are as follows:

As seen in the table above, the e-Vitara offers quite a respectable range. Do note that these numbers might vary in the India-spec model as ARAI uses different testing criteria. During the unveiling at the Expo, Maruti said the India-spec model will boast a claimed range of over 500 km.

The Maruti e Vitara packs in a bunch of premium features like a floating 10.25-inch touchscreen, a 10.1-inch digital driver’s display, a fixed glass roof, and even an Infinity sound system for a better audio experience. It also offers comforts like ventilated front seats, a 10-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, ambient lighting, and a PM2.5 air filter to keep the cabin air clean.
