Luxury car Toyota New Camry launched

Toyota has launched its luxury and modern style car, New Toyota Camry, in India. The company, present here with Kriloskar Motor, hopes to sell 500 units this year. The car is priced between Rs 21.26-23.40 lakh. The luxury sedan is available in four classic colours-dark green mica metallic and beige mica metallic. This move has been targeted to give stiff competition to its rival SkodaAuto. It must be noted that its existing Toyota Camry could only manage to sell 44 units in the April-June quarter as against 182 the previous year.

The New Toyota Camry incorporates new design exterior, plasmacluster A/C with minus ion generator, intelligent rain sensing wipers and moonroof. TKM's Managing Director Hiroshi Nakagawa told reporters here that the new car model is not a volume product, it's more of a brand and a showcasing of technologies by Toyota. He added that the Toyota Camry has already defined the concept of a premium car in India.
