Kia Seltos New Compact SUV Champ, More Than 50,000 Bookings Received
The Seltos has managed to keep customers intrigued more than a month into its Indian journey, at a time when the industry is facing a slump
Seltos is available with two petrol engines and a diesel engine.
Both manual and automatic transmission options are available with all engines.
You can expect a waiting period of 3-4 months on the top-spec variants of the Seltos.
It rivals new entrants like the Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks, MG Hector and Tata Harrier.
Korean carmaker Kia Motors has made a strong start to its India journey with the compact SUV Seltos. It has caught the fancy of new car buyers in India, which has led to heavy footfall in Kia showrooms.
In fact Kia managed to deliver 13990 units of the Seltos by the end of September 2019, despite it having been launched a little over a month ago. What’s more, the Korean carmaker has managed to garner 50,000 bookings for the SUV in just two and a half months.
One of the main reasons for the Seltos’ success is the wide array of powertrain options it offers. Kia is offering two petrol and a diesel option, all available with a manual or automatic transmission of some kind. Take a look at all the powertrain options here.
All the interest in the Kia Seltos has led to it commanding a considerable waiting period as well. If you are looking to put your money down on one of the top-spec variants, expect a wait of 3-4 months before you can take one home.
Currently, the Seltos has many rivals in the market, notably the Hyundai Creta and Nissan Kicks, along with mid-size SUVs such as the MG Hector, Tata Harrier and Mahindra XUV500. The second-gen model of Hyundai’s Creta is expected to be revealed at the 2020 Auto Expo. Made on the Seltos’ platform itself, the two cousins are set to go up against each other.
