Hyundai, Mahindra And Volkswagen India Offer Support For Cyclone-affected Vehicle Owners In Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Most of the carmakers here are providing complimentary service check, with Hyundai and Mahindra even offering some discount on insurance and repair invoices, respectively

The Michaung cyclone has thrown normal life out of gear in Chennai, Tamil Nadu over the last few days, leading to major flooding. Consequently, there were a lot of vehicles which were damaged because of all the waterlogging in the Southern state. In a bid to provide some relief to such owners, some carmakers such as Hyundai, Mahindra and Volkswagen are now offering support by introducing various initiatives.

Hyundai

Hyundai Motor India has announced a donation of Rs 3 crore to the relief fund for those affected while also engaging in relief work like providing food, shelter and medical assistance to affected communities. For Hyundai’s affected customers, the marque has set up an emergency roadside assistance team while also offering a 50 percent discount on depreciation on insurance claims of cyclone-affected vehicles. Affected vehicle owners can reach out to Hyundai’s customer care team on 1800-102-4645.

Volkswagen

The cyclone-affected Volkswagen owners in and around Chennai can avail free roadside assistance. Volkswagen will also be offering priority ‘comprehensive service check’ to the customers affected in the region to ensure timely repairs for flood-related damages. Affected car customers can directly contact Volkswagen Roadside Assistance at 1800-102-1155 or 1800-419-1155.

Mahindra

Mahindra has also announced a few initiatives to provide help to affected customers which will be valid till the end of 2023. It is offering roadside assistance (RSA) within 50 km to tow the affected vehicles to the nearest Mahindra service centre. All affected vehicles will be inspected and assessed for damage free of charge, while owners can also bag discounts on repair invoices.
