Here Are Five Features That The 2026 Skoda Slavia Facelift Borrows From The Kushaq

The Slavia facelift shares multiple features with the SUV sibling, but there’s one feature that even the Kushaq doesn't get!

The Skoda Slavia facelift was unveiled earlier this week, with a redesigned bumper, redesigned LED headlamps with DRLs, a few added features, and a brand-new gearbox too.

With the facelift now breaking cover, its feature list now shares quite a lot with its SUV sibling, the Kushaq, which had received a facelift earlier this year. The Slavia facelift looks lavish with the sleek headlamps, new LED DRLs, and redesigned front bumper. Today, we are going to take a look at what features the Slavia borrowed from the Kushaq.

Rear Seat Massager

The Skoda Kushaq facelift, which was launched earlier this year, did come with a unique feature for its segment: the rear seat massager. With the updates to the Slavia, Skoda has added this feature to the sedan as well, which helps improve the backseat experience. This will be especially useful over longer journeys where occupants will be able to enjoy a relaxing massage. What makes this even more special is the fact that it isn’t present in many premium cars, even two segments above.

This feature is available in the Slavia’s Prestige and Monte Carlo variants.

New 10.25-inch Digital Driver’s Display

The Slavia facelift now gets a larger 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, which adds more functionality, such as turn-by-turn navigation, different themes, and the ability to customize it as per your preferences. This display adds more lavish appeal with it and has a crisp and clear resolution as well.

This feature is made available in the top two Prestige and Monte Carlo trims, while the lower variants retain the smaller 8-inch digital display from the pre-facelift version.

8-speed Automatic Transmission

The Slavia is also one of the favourite sedans among the enthusiasts, offering two powertrain options, which are a 1-litre turbo petrol TSI and a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol mated with manual and automatic gearboxes.

With the facelift, the 1-litre turbo-petrol TSI engine now gets a new 8-speed automatic transmission, which helps improve highway performance by reducing engine RPMs at higher speeds. This could also translate to better real-world fuel efficiency. This gearbox was introduced with the Kushaq, and now the Slavia becomes the only car in its segment with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

Updated 10.1-inch Infotainment Touchscreen

The Slavia facelift also has a minor update to the infotainment touchscreen system, with a new UI and a slightly bigger display. It is a more intuitive unit and easy to navigate as well, and with functions like wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, the overall experience feels much smoother to use. This 10.1-inch infotainment unit comes with connected car tech and built-in Google Gemini-based AI Assistance.

Front Parking Sensors

An underrated feature, but one very much useful in our crowded urban cities are front parking sensors, which can be very useful while parking in tight spots. This feature is quickly becoming mainstream, and we are happy to report that the new Slavia is the latest car to be added to the list. The Kushaq also got this feature recently, in its mid-lifecycle update.

CarDekho Says….

The Skoda Slavia facelift packs in a lot of features, as we saw in this story, which include the new infotainment touchscreen unit, a larger digital driver’s display, a smooth 8-speed automatic transmission with the 1-litre engine, and the addition of front parking sensors.

The Slavia also has features such as powered and ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, a single-pane sunroof, and all-LED lighting. But unlike these features that are shared with the Kushaq, it gets a new 360-degree camera setup, which the Kushaq does not have.

With all these additions, Slavia has upped its game in the sedan segment, but we still think that Skoda has missed an opportunity to update its interior with more features and make the touch points feel premium.
