Ford Mustang Reaches Philippines; is India next?

In Ford’s endeavor to provide world-class vehicles to Philippines, they are taking the prevailing model of the Ford Mustang there. They will start the deliveries starting September this year. The next generation Mustang, however is still under development. The new model will be made global from the very beginning. In Philippines currently, the Mustang will be available in the two trims.

The base model will be the 3.7-litre V6 which produces a power of 305bhp and the GT which is 5.0-litre V8, delivering 402bhp. The base model will be prices at $59900 which when calculated in INR is somewhere close to Rs.33.18 Lakh and the price of the GT is set at $69400 which is approximately Rs. 38.44 Lakh. Commenting on the announcement, Randy Krieger, President of Ford Group Philippines, said that Ford is confident that the iconic Ford Mustang will be as successful in Philippines as well and will attract many new customers who will be thrilled with regards to this car.

This announcement seems to bringing forth many speculations regarding Ford Mustang’s next stop. Topping the list is, whether India is on cards for the Mustang? For now, Indian market is all geared up for the EcoSport and the wait seems to be getting difficult with each passing day.
