Datsun Go and Go+ To Offer Driver Side Airbag
Datsun realizing the safety concerns has now started to offer driver side airbag on both its hatchback and MPV sibling. The driver-side airbag is being offered on the new top-end variant called T (O) in both Go and Go+. The Datsun Go T (O) is priced at Rs 4.19 lac while Go+ T (O) is priced at Rs 4.81 lac (Ex-Showroom, New Delhi).
The company has updated the information on its website clearing any doubts and confusion. When contacted to dealers, they too confirmed that the booking for airbag models have started which raises the price for both models by around Rs. 15,000. Both models apart from carrying the driver side airbag continues to feature speed-sensitive wiper, body-colored bumpers, front power windows, USB charger, Mobile Docking Station (MDS) and central locking.
Powering the Go+ is the same 1.2-litre petrol engine, that already does its duty under the hood of Go hatchback. According to the company, the mill has been re-tuned to benefit the increase in size and weight, and now churns out maximum power of 68PS along with 104Nm of peak torque @ 4000 rpm.The hatch delivers a fuel economy of 20.63 kmpl while the MPV offers efficiency of 20.6kmpl.
