Chevrolet Sail Sedan Launching on 1st February
After teasing the official trailers and launch plans of Sail Sedan, General Motors now confirms the launch date of the much awaited C Segment sedan Sail in India. The company has put up a countdown timer today on its official website, which says that the Sail sedan would be launched after 8 days i.e. on 1st February 2013. Chevrolet India has already launched the Swift rival, Sail U-VA hatchback in November 2012, now with the Sail sedan, it will have the much needed car in the C Segment to rival Swift Dzire, Toyota Etios and others.

Like we earlier reported, Chevrolet Sail sedan will have two engine options- 1.2-litre Smartech , 4-cylinder petrol and fiat sourced 1.3-litre multijet diesel engine. The 1.2-litre Smartech petrol engine is the similar engine that does its duty to Chevrolet Beat, and produces the maximum power output of 84bhp and 116Nm of torque. While the 1.3-litre multijet diesel engine fitted in the Sail sedan also powers the segment topper, Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire. Both the petrol and diesel engine options will have the five-speed manual gearbox as standard.
When it comes to features, Chevrolet has offered a plenty of them including twin airbags, ABS and EBD. However, nothing on the pricing has been revealed by the company as of now, we are expecting it to be priced around Rs. 6 lakh.
