The past week saw a lot of important headlines including the launch of the new Kia Carens Clavis and the 2025 Tata Altroz facelift. New variants have been introduced in the MG Windsor EV and Hyundai i20’s lineup. Meanwhile, MG Motor India has also hiked prices for some of its cars. Kia Carens Clavis Launched
The Kia Carens Clavis has been launched, with prices starting at Rs 11.50 lakh (ex-showroom). It is available in seven variants and offers three powertrain options. The Carens Clavis is a premium MPV from the carmaker, featuring an all-new design and a host of modern amenities.
2025 Tata Altroz Facelift Launched
The past week also saw the launch of the 2025 Tata Altroz facelift. The updated premium hatchback now sports a sharper design and offers additional features. Its prices start from Rs 6.89 lakh (ex-showroom). It continues to offer a wide variety of powertrain options, including naturally aspirated petrol, CNG, and diesel.
Volkswagen Golf GTI Launch Date Confirmed
The Volkswagen Golf GTI is set to launch in India soon, and the German carmaker has confirmed the date. Earlier, pre-bookings were closed after all limited units were sold out. The hot hatch will bring in power-packed performance with its 265 PS turbo-petrol engine.
Tata Harrier EV Launch Date Confirmed
Tata Motors confirmed the date of the upcoming Harrier EV over the past week. It will be the brand's biggest electric vehicle yet and will feature all-wheel drive. The Harrier EV is expected to offer a claimed range of over 500 km.
Hyundai i20 New Magna Executive Variant Launched
Hyundai has updated the i20 by adding a new Magna Executive variant. The carmaker has also made the CVT (continuously variable transmission) option and sunroof available on the existing Magna variant, making them more accessible. A few changes in the Sportz (O) variant have also been incorporated, resulting in a price hike.
MG Windsor EV Pro New Variant Launched
MG has expanded the Windsor EV Pro lineup with a new Exclusive Pro variant, priced at Rs 12.25 lakh with BaaS and Rs 17.25 lakh as an outright purchase (ex-showroom). This addition makes the larger 52.9 kWh battery pack more accessible to buyers. Bookings are now open and deliveries are set to begin in June.
MG Cars Prices Hiked
MG Motor has increased the prices of the Comet EV, Hector, Hector Plus, and Gloster. While the Comet EV finds a hike when bought outright, its subscription-based rates have gone down. The Gloster has received the largest price increase by up to Rs 1.5 lakh.
Volkswagen Tayron India Launch Confirmed
The Volkswagen Tayron is confirmed to be launched in India later this year. It is essentially a 7-seater version of the Tiguan and was recently spotted testing on Indian roads. Volkswagen could also bring it in a sportier R-Line version, similar to the recently launched Tiguan R-Line.
