The Kia Carens Clavis is on sale alongside the existing Kia Carens that is available in a single Premium (O) variant

Available in 7 broad variants: HTE, HTE (O), HTK, HTK Plus, HTK Plus (O), HTX and HTX Plus.

The Kia Carens Clavis gets an aggressive and bold design. Its fascia is now more upright and features three-pod LED headlights which are outlined by sleek inverted V-shaped LED DRLs, all set within a triangular housing. The grille has a blanked-off design that is common to Kia’s newer models, while the bumper adds a sporty touch with horizontal air inlets, rugged black cladding, and a faux silver skid plate.

In profile, the Carens Clavis features new 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels that look premium. The wheel arches and lower portion of the door gets a black cladding that makes the MPV look rugged and muscular. It also gets silver roof rails and chrome door handles that further enhance its styling.

At the rear, the Carens Clavis gets connected LED tail lights which is a new addition to the Carens nameplate and gives the premium MPV a sleek and modern look. The rear bumper, like the front, includes rugged black cladding and a faux silver skid plate for a sporty and tough look.

The Kia Carens Clavis will be available in 8 monotone hues, including Gravity Gray, Aurora Black Pearl, Glacier White Pearl, Clear White, Imperial Blue, Pewter Olive, Ivory Silver Gloss and Sparkling Silver.

Interior

The interior of the Carens Clavis features a navy blue and beige colour scheme in higher variants, while the lower variants use a black and beige theme. The dashboard looks premium with a fabric trim and a silver insert, and it feels modern with the addition of two 12.3-inch free-standing screens. It also comes with a dual-tone two-spoke steering wheel that is similar to the one seen in the Syros.

It also gets a new touch-enabled control panel with physical knobs to adjust temperature / volume below the infotainment system that can switch between air conditioner and infotainment controls at the press of a button.

The Kia Carens Clavis features beige leatherette seat upholstery and, like its Carens sibling, is available in both 6- and 7-seater configurations. The 6-seater variant, which includes captain chairs in the middle row, is exclusive to the top-spec HTX Plus trim.

Features And Safety

Like every other Kia offering, the 2025 Carens Clavis is filled with features to its brim. In addition to the dual 12.3-inch screens (one for the infotainment and another for instrumentation), it also gets a panoramic sunroof, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, 4-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, ventilated front seats and paddle shifters. It also gets an auto AC with dedicated vents for the 2nd and 3rd rows as well.

Do note that the 12.3-inch system does not support wireless Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, but the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the lower variants get this functionality.

Nevertheless, its safety suite is robust with features like 6 airbags (as standard), a 360-degree camera with blind spot monitor, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, disc brakes on all wheels and front and rear parking sensors. It also offers some Level-2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) like lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control.
