BMW India holds its top spot
BMW India is growing leaps and bounds well this is well reflected in the sales figures of the German auto company. The Indian arm of the luxury car maker is enjoying top spot since last two years and is sure that it will maintain its position. For the last financial year starting from April 2010 till march 2011, BMW India sold 7,079 cars in the domestic auto market which was 3941 cars from Aril 2009 till March 2010. BMW India has slashed out its arch rivals from the home ground Mercedes-Benz.
For the last month, the German auto company sold 1,027 cars which embarks the highest sales ever. The top three scores for this month are BMW 5 Series as it sold 380 cars against 183 cars for the last year same time. BMW 3 Series as 305 cars were sold when compared with the sales of 298 cars for March 2010. BMW X1 its 213 cars were sold for this month. The numbers are huge for the German car makers as they are slowly getting a grip over the domestic auto market.
The others to score the number for the luxury car brands are BMW 7 Series whose 60 cars were sold, BMW 6 Series only one model was sold, BMW Gran Turismo 11 cars wer sold. BMW X5's 30 cars were sold, BMW X6's 17 cars were sold, BMW X3 could not open its account While BMW Z4's 10 cars were sold. The German auto giants are growing speedinly towards encashing one of the fastest growing auto market. India is a auto hub and many auto giants are eyeing on its growth. Surprisngly it is attracting many luxury auto giant in its encircle like Ferrari, recently Aston Martin landed on the shores. It seems BMW India is well versed with the competition its will face in future in India.
