    BMW drives in 6-Series coupe at Rs 75 lakhs

    The leading luxury car manufacturer, BMW has launched the new BMW 6-series coupe in India today at Rs 75 lakhs. The new 6-series car has been designed under the supervision of Adrian Van Hooydonk in the likes of the Z9 Gran Turismo 1999 concept car imbibing the contemporary styling. The BMW 6-series is offered in both the petrol and the diesel variants. While the 4.4 L twin-turbo V8 petrol engine is one option, the 3.0 L diesel engine churning out the peak power of 313 Bhp is the other option. The petrol variant is referred to as the 650i and the diesel-driven car is named to be 640d. The standard 8-speed automatic gearbox does the gear shifting duties on the car in coordination with the majestic engines installed in the car.

    The BMW 6-series coupe renders a shark-like appearance with a prolonged fascia adorning intelligible headlamps and horizontal kidney-shaped grille. The unusually long bonnet is the reason to give the shark-like look to the car sporting the full-width air duct running from end to end on the bumper. The front headlamps on the car are provided with optional LED corona lenses, while the ‘L’ shaped LED lamps is featured in the back of the car. The BMW 6-series price for the diesel variant is Rs 10 lakh more than its petrol twin at Rs 85 lakhs. The other BMW cars in India are BMW X1 series, BMW X3 series, BMW X5 series, BMW X6 series, BMW M series, BMW 3 series, BMW 5 series, BMW 6 series, BMW 7 series and BMW Gran Turismo.
