The revised 5 Series gets revised front bumper design, with new front grille and some other minor changes to the rear and new alloy wheels. The diesel engine options are likely to remain the same, with a 2.0-litre diesel engine and 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine in two avatars. However, the petrol is likely to get turbocharged petrol mills to reduce the carbon footprint and make it more competitive. BMW’s are known for their Efficient Dynamics and the 5 Series will continue with the finesse.

The Munich-based manufacturer had recently introduced the 1 Series in India and soon, we can also expect the 3 Series GT to make its way. This new 3 Series GT is likely come as a complete body unit. The other launch that the company has lined-up is the X5, which was also recently given a facelift. This could hamper Mercedes-Benz GL-Class sales. The battle between the German manufacturers is getting intense by the day.
