BMW 3 Series GT Gets A New Shadow Edition
It gets cosmetic tweaks to set itself apart from the standard 3 Series GT
The Shadow Edition is based on the 330i M Sport variant of the 3 Series GT.
BMW is expected to discontinue the 3 Series GT in India soon.
The Shadow Edition comes with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine (252PS/350Nm) mated to an 8-speed AT.
It features blacked-out elements in the front grille, ORVMs, headlamps and tail lamps, dual exhaust tips, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
BMW is expected to discontinue the 3 Series GT in India soon. But before that, the carmaker has launched a new Shadow Edition of the 3 Series GT based on the 330i M Sport variant that’s priced at Rs 42.50 lakh. Although the exact number is unknown, BMW has stated that the Shadow Edition variant is available in limited units. Customers can select, customise, and book the 3 Series GT Shadow Edition via BMW’s recently launched online sales platform.
The 3 Series GT Shadow Edition is offered with a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that puts out 252PS and 350Nm. This engine comes mated to an 8-speed Steptronic Sport AT gearbox. BMW offers the 3 Series GT Shadow Edition with four driving modes: Comfort, Ecopro, Sport and Sport+. It can do the 0-100kmph sprint in 6.1 seconds and max out at its electronically limited top speed of 250kmph. The 3 Series GT Shadow Edition has a claimed fuel efficiency of 13.95kmpl.
It is available in four shades: Alpine White, Black Sapphire, Melbourne Red, and Estoril Blue. To differentiate from the standard 3 Series GT, the Shadow Edition gets blacked-out elements in the front grille, ORVMs (outside rearview mirror), dual exhaust tips, 18-inch alloy wheels, and headlamps and tail lamps. Inside, it features aluminium door sill plates, an M sports leather steering wheel, key with M logo, a panoramic glass roof, and ambient lighting. BMW also offers the Shadow Edition with an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with only Apple CarPlay connectivity, a 9-speaker sound system, and dual-zone climate control. Safety features on offer include six airbags, cornering brake control, and dynamic stability control.
