BMW is showcasing the #10 Art Car at the 2016 India Art Fair, which is being held in New Delhi. Since 1975, there have been 17 such ‘Rolling Sculptures’ and this 10th car was painted by Cesar Manrique in 1990. This 1990 BMW 730i Art Car was unveiled by Philipp von Sahr, President, BMW Group India at the art fair. It will be on display till January 31, 2016. The car looks stunning and is a ‘harmonious combination of technology and nature.’ Cesar Manrique believed that, like other everyday objects, cars play an essential role in the appearance of our surroundings and hence, he said ‘That’s why I thought of designing the car in such a way as to give the impression of being able to glide through the air without any resistance.’
