Bajaj to unveil ultra-low cost car on January 3rd
There is a hot piece of news from Bajaj Auto who is gearing up to unveil the ultra-low cost small car on January 3rd at Taj Palace Hotel right before its stance at Auto Expo at the Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. This is the same car Renault-Nissan plan to market going forward if the car manages to meet their expectations. The idea was that Bajaj will incorporate its expertise in the three-wheeler segment to bring about this spectacle of a four-wheeler with its own technology bearing the manufacturing costs.

So, it’s quite understandable if the new Bajaj car looks more like a three wheeler is the disguise of a car. However, it is a general assumption that the ultra-low-cost car from Bajaj will bear a price tag more than the Tata Nano price. Bajaj Auto has been working hard to get the design and mechanism right to please Nissan-Renault who are expected to take care of the marketing aspects for the car. Bajaj has displayed the car once before at the 2008 Auto expo but failed to impress the duo in some or the other way. Bajaj Auto boasts of unbeatable fuel efficiency in the car which could turn out to be the key selling factor. However, we will have to wait until January third to get the details on the engine specifications and the pricing.
