    Audi eyes to generate 10% revenue through used car biz

    Audi India is counted amongst the most luxurious car makers in the country. It has received immense success in the Indian car market and now it is planning to foray into the used car business in India. As per Mr. Michael Perschke, the head of Audi India, by the end of 2011, Audi India is planning to trigger of their used car business. Audi India aims to generate around 5 to 10 % of revenue through used cars buisness and gradually aspires this figure to go up to 25% in the period of next five years or so.

    Car markets like Europe clutches around 30 to 40% of Audi's revenue through its used car business. However, when inquired about the price detailing of the used cars in India that Audi plans to sell, Mr. Perschke dodged the question. Nonetheless, it is pretty evident that Audi is doing a good business in India. Cars like Audi A6 and Audi Q7 have more than 50 and 55 percent respectively, of its value after the 3 years of usage.Apart from Audi India, Maruti India is already the leader in the used car business in the country.
