Audi A6 35 TFSI Launched at Rs 45.90 Lacs

German carmaker Audi has launched the petrol variant of its recently updated sedan -A6 at Rs 45.90 Lacs (ex-showroom Delhi and Mumbai). The Matrix LED A6 was launched only in the 35 TDI Diesel variant a few days back and does not feature matrix LEDs.

Unlike the diesel variant, the petrol variant gets mechanical changes as well and now comes with a smaller 1.8-litre turbocharged engine as compared to the earlier model which had a 2 liter motor. Audi claims that the fuel efficiency of the Audi A6 35 TFSI has been increased by 12.7 percent whereas the power has been pumped up by 5 percent. The car also gets the Auto Engine Start/Stop mechanism with Energy Recovery which has further improved the efficiency of the A6 35 TFSI.

Joe King, Head, Audi India, commenting on the launch, said: “Embodying our philosophy of ‘Vorsprung durch Technik’, and following the recent successful introduction of the new Audi A6 Matrix, the new Audi A6 35 TFSI takes our success in the executive sedan segment a notch higher. The new 1.8 L turbocharged engine which is 200cc smaller than the outgoing engine offers a unique combination of power and also efficiency at the same time. With the new 1.8 L TFSI engine, the fuel efficiency of the Audi A6 35 TFSI is increased by 12.7 percent and the power is further increased by 5 percent.”

On the engine front, 1.8 litre petrol motor produces a hefty 190bhp while offering 15.26 kmpl and is mated to a seven-speed S-tronic transmission. Audi Drive select with adaptive air suspension lets you select between Comfort, Sport and Dynamic mode. Other added features include - LED headlights, rear lights with dynamic turn indicators, restyled bumpers and the Audi Single frame grill. The Audi A6 35 TFSI also gets new interiors and now comes with seat upholstery in Milano Leather and Fine Grain Ash Natural Brown Inlays. The car also gets the Next Generation Modular Infotainment Platform.
