Audi A3 India launch on the cards
With most of the Luxury car makers seeking good share in Indian auto market, German automobile giant “Audi” is no exception. As per recent reports, Audi is planning to increase its hold in Indian market with the release of its Audi A3 sports sedan. And since company has already started the analysis of future prospects in Indian car market, its execution process is going to start soon.

Head of Audi India, Michael Pershcke said that company is currently considering the product options to enter and mark presence in Indian auto market. Further he commented that company is planning to add the Audi A3 in its portfolio and as for now company is carrying out potential market analysis. Without disclosing the details about launching, Pershcke said that company is really looking forward to launch luxury sports utility vehicle Audi Q3 in the Indian market by 2012.

Further he added that other inclusions of Audi India on Indian roads includes Business sedan Audi A6 which is going to be launched in August this year. And company might take some time in launching the small segment cars in India. Perschke also added that company is planning to execute top to bottom approach and want to create a brand image so that customers can recognize company’s status and the traits that Audi encompasses in selling cars in India.

As per reports, Audi India witnessed huge growth of 81 percent and sold 3,003 cars last year, and so company further improved its sales target for the FY 2011. Audi India is expecting to sell 4,800-5,000 units in 2011. If sales report is checked, Audi sales figures reached mark of more than double i.e. 1,986 units in comparison 967 units it had sold during last year. Also in April month Audi sold around 375 units, compared to 198 units in the same month last year. As for now Audi is gaining good market share with the fleet of cars which includes Audi A3, Audi A6, Audi Q3 and recently launched Audi RS5 and Audi A7.
