21 percent sales growth for Audi India
With the Indian economy in sheer dire straits, the four ring auto manufacturer - Audi India seems to be on a growth trajectory. The company has just shared its sales figures for the period of January to August 2013, which states that the German manufacturer has sold 6426 vehicles during this period as against 5406 for the same period last year indicating a growth figure of 19 percent. As for the month of August 2013, the company sold 875 vehicles against 726 last year, which again shows a growth of 21 percent.
Speaking on this occasion, Joe King, Head, Audi India said; Audi has continuously performed well in the first eight months of the year and we look forward to maintain the momentum going forward during the difficult market conditions. We are extremely confident that our exciting products and efficient network will enable us to meet our targets in spite of the current adverse economic sentiments.
As an industry update, Joe King has recently taken over Audi India as head with previous Managing Director Micheal Persche taking up the role of Head of Network Strategy and Business Management, international level, at AUDI AG. Prior to his current appointment, Joe King was stationed at Audi Australia, where he played an integral role in the Management team of Audi Australia Pty Ltd.
