The Pure S variant is the most affordable variant with a sunroof in the new Altroz’s lineup
The 2025 Tata Altroz facelift was recently launched with prices starting from Rs 6.89 lakh (ex-showroom). It is offered in seven variants: Smart, Pure, Pure S, Creative, Creative S, Accomplished S, and Accomplished Plus S. In this article, we focus on the one-above-base Pure S variant, which is essentially the most affordable variant with a sunroof in the premium hatchback. Let us take a closer look at the Altroz facelift Pure S with the help of 10 images.
Front
Upfront, the Altroz in its Pure S avatar, sports twin-pod auto LED headlamps but misses out on the LED DRLs as well as the LED fog lamps. The new Altroz sports an updated fascia with a new grille and a bold black insert over the bumper.
Side
In profile, the Pure S variant of the Altroz sits on 16-inch steel wheels with dual-tone wheel covers. It also carries over flush-type door handles with illumination, the C-pillar mounted rear door handles and the indicator-integrated outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs) as found in the base variant.
Rear
The rear design is also largely the same as the base-spec Smart variant with LED tail lights joined by a red plastic trim. What’s distinguishable in the Pure S variant compared to the Pure is a shark-fin antenna overhead. It also has a black rugged cladding on the rear bumper.
Interior
The cabin in the Altroz Pure S features a dual-tone black and beige theme. It comes with black fabric seat upholstery, complemented by contrasting orange inserts and stitching. What’s new is that the variant offers a single-pane sunroof, which makes it the most affordable trim to get this amenity.

It gets a layered dashboard that houses a 7-inch freestanding touchscreen, a 2-spoke steering wheel with the illuminated Tata logo as well as a 4-inch semi-digital instrument cluster.
The central AC vents are neatly integrated into a black panel that extends across the dashboard and gets a textured design. Beneath these is a touch-based AC control panel featuring toggle switches for adjusting the fan speed and regulating the temperature.
That said, the Pure S variant misses out on both front and rear centre armrests and rear AC vents, all of which are found in the higher trims.
Features & Safety
The Pure S variant of the new Altroz facelift comes equipped with features like a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, auto AC, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, a 4-speaker audio system, and a single-pane sunroof. However, if you're looking for additional features like a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen, ambient lighting, rear AC vents, wireless phone charging, connected car tech, and paddle shifters, you'll need to go for the higher variants.
In terms of safety, the Pure S variant offers 6 airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), automatic headlamps, a rear parking camera with sensors, and ISOFIX child seat mounts. That said, it misses out on additional safety tech available in the higher trims such as a 360-degree camera and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
