2025 Tata Altroz Facelift: Base vs Top Variant Compared In 12 Images
Both the base and top variants of the new Altroz miss out on the diesel engine
The newly launched 2025 Tata Altroz facelift is offered in seven variants: Smart, Pure, Pure S, Creative, Creative S, Accomplished S and Accomplished Plus S. The prices range from Rs 6.89 lakh to Rs 11.49 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom). In this report, we compare the two – entry-level Smart and the top-spec Accomplished Plus S variants to see what upgrades the latter gets.
Starting from the colour options, the new Altroz gets five new hues: Dune Glow, Ember Glow, Pure Grey, Pristine White and Royal Blue, all of which are available with the top variant. However, the base variant only gets the Pristine White and Royal Blue shades. We’ll look at the further differences below.
Front
The fascia looks similar for both variants, with sleek headlamp units and a bold black insert over the bumper. The top variant also has a gloss-black finish on the grille. The notable differences lie in the lighting department: the base-spec Smart variant comes with projector halogen headlamps, whereas the top-spec Accomplished Plus S features LED headlamps. The base variant also misses out on LED fog lamps and LED DRLs, which are offered in the top variant.
Side
The silhouette of both the base and top variants of the new Altroz features new flush-type front door handles with illumination, black outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs) with integrated indicators, and C-pillar-mounted rear door handles.
The base variant sits on 16-inch steel wheels with half covers, while the top variant gets 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. Due to the absence of an infotainment unit, the base variant doesn’t have an overhead antenna, whereas the top variant gets a shark-fin antenna.
Rear
The rear section of both variants also looks similar. However, the top-spec variant gets added features like a rear wiper and washer, and a rear defogger, which are not available with the base variant. The connected taillights on the top variant are also illuminated, while the entry-level variant features a faux red strip which mimics the design of connected lighting.
Dashboard
Step inside, and you’ll notice major differences between the two variants. The Accomplished Plus S gets a beige and black dual-tone cabin, while the Smart variant comes with an all-black interior. Both variants share a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo. There’s also some gloss black plastics across the cabin, which is not on offer in the top model.
The Smart variant features a 4-inch semi-digital instrument cluster, has no infotainment system, and uses physical buttons for the electronically operated manual AC. In comparison, the top variant offers a 10.25-inch infotainment system, a segment-exclusive 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, and a touch-based AC control panel for climate control.
Seats
Apart from the different upholstery themes, both variants have contoured seats with extended under-thigh support. The top-spec Accomplished Plus S has front and rear centre armrests, with the latter featuring cupholders, both of which are not offered in the base variant. It also gets rear AC vents which are also missing in the Smart variant.
Other Features Safety
The Smart variant gets manual AC, drive modes (Eco, City, and Sport), and remote keyless entry. Safety features include 6 airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), ISOFIX child seat mounts, 3-point seatbelts for all passengers, and rear parking sensors.
The Accomplished Plus adds connected car tech, the 10.25-inch digital driver’s display with map casting via Google/Apple Maps, a blind view monitor, a wireless phone charger, an 8-speaker sound system, single-pane sunroof, paddle shifters, ambient lighting, an auto AC, cruise control, and rain-sensing wipers. Additional safety features include a 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and auto headlamps.
