2015 Toyota Camry showcased

Toyota Motors showcased the 2015 Toyota Camry at the New York International Auto Show (NYIAS). The new Camry is based on the current generation car but the new vehicle is completely redesigned from scratch except retaining the chassis of the current model. The current Camry misses out slightly on the 'oomph' factor compared to its competitor, but this time Toyota has really pulled out well and the car looks stunning.

Speaking of the design, the new 2015 Camry resembles nothing with the existing, the new sedan looks more agile, sportier and athletic. At the front the car gets, swept back headlamps flanked around the all-black trapezoidal grille, the bumper integrates day-time-running-LEDs with turn indicators.

The new Camry boosts LED high and low beam head-lamp lighting system. Inverted 'U' shaped chrome appliqué fringes with the redesigned tail-lamps at the rear. The added flamboyance factor makes the car more contemporary and a head turner.

The changes are carried forward inside too and evident from the first glance; the car boosts a 7-inch high resolution touch infotainment screen which features, audio, navigation, warnings and communications. The dual dial instrumentation cluster boost a 4.2-inch TFT screen. The car also embraces first in class wireless phone charging (for NFC enabled smart-phones).

The NVH levels are further reduced to offer a more quieter cabin, the new carpet in the vehicle has an improved sound absorbing capabilities with 30% increase in insulation material. The suspension are tuned for better driving dynamics over the current version. The new Camry carries the same engine line-up of the outgoing version.

The updated car is expected to enter later this year or by early next year in the country. The updated Camry will compete against the updated 2015 Hyundai Sonata (Hyundai also showcased the 2015 Sonata at the New York Expo) and the recently updated Skoda Superb.
