2012 Mercedes SLK India launch slated for August 10
The Germans seem to be all geared up to conquer the luxury segment in the Indian car market, proving it right are the recent launches by Audi India, BMW India followed by Mercedes-Benz India. Mercedes-Benz India is all set to launch the new 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK in India tomorrow, that is August 10th.

The new 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK will come affixed with a 3.6 liter V6 motor, which can churn out 306 bhp of power. The car will also be adorning the 7G- Tronic transmission, the company has also hinted about the Magic Sky Control, which is the retractable hardtop of the new 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK. New Mercedes-Benz SLK price is expected to be somewhere around Rs 60 lakh. The German auto major is working aggressively to pave its path towards the top spot in the luxury car segment leaving behind the arch rivals BMW and Audi.
Apart for this the company is also thinking on the lines to bring the compact range to the Indian shores, which is likely to happen towards the end of 2012.
