2012 Audi A4 spotted in Mumbai during its test run

Like the four rings in its logo, it has been four years since the German luxury car maker's sedan Audi A4 is in Indian market. But now, the company has decided to give a facelift to this model. Recently a glimpse of the new 2012 Audi A4 was seen at Mumbai's Marine Drive. New Audi A4 was out to be tested in the pleasant weather. However the car vamoosed after taking a U-turn. The facelifted Audi A4 is buzzing around in international market too where it will be launched somewhere by the end of this year. This next generation car is perhaps scheduled for unveiling in the upcoming Auto Expo next year.

The facelift decision came after Mercedes Benz revealed new C class sedan and BMW unveiled updated 3 Series. Mostly the reformations will be done with the exterior of the car. New Audi A4 will have LED lights running in daylight. Front grill and bumpers could be minimally changed. Earlier the car was available with five variants namely 3.2 FSI Tiptronic Quattro, 2.0 TFSI, 1.8 TFSI, 2.0 TDI Multitronic and 3.0 TDI Quattro. The engine options will be more or less the same in facelift version. 2012 Audi A4 will also be available in petrol and diesel variants as its predecessor.

Audi A4 specification reveal that among the diesel engine variant, 2 litre TDI, 170 Bhp would pull the volume for 2012 Audi A4 sedan but the larger and more powerful 3 litre TDI engine top the range. For the petrol variant the recently unveiled 1.8 litre TFSI engine will be apt. Even the interiors of 2012 Audi A4 are to be made more luxurious and comfort will be the top most priority. Mainly the company will revamp the looks of car. An improved MMI (multi media interface) system would be used in facelift car.
