Toyota Innova TRD Sportivo Launched In Indonesia; Could It Come To India?

Most Toyota offerings get the special TRD treatment in some form or the other and the models vary depending on the market. In Indonesia, Toyota has launched a new limited edition Innova Sportivo TRD variant to commemorate the country’s 75th Independence Day.
This special variant is mostly a cosmetic package for the Innova. It gets sporty TRD front and rear bumper skirts, side skirts and TRD Sportivo stickering. The front grille, under the Toyota badging, and the 17-inch alloy wheels are painted black. It is offered in three exterior colour options - white, black and silver. The only feature addition for the Innova TRD Sportivo is the integrated air purifier and cabin air filter.

This could be the first time the Toyota MPV has received the TRD treatment. In India, it gets a less sporty version called the Touring Sport. The Indonesia-spec Innova TRD Sportivo is only offered with a 2.4-litre diesel unit. Should Toyota offer the India-spec Innova with the TRD Sportivo package, it will likely be offered with the choice of 2.7-litre petrol and 2.4-litre diesel engines. These engines are available with both manual and automatic transmission options.
If offered in India, the Innova TRD Sportivo could be priced similar to the Touring Sport which costs between Rs 19.53 lakh and Rs 24.67 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Toyota is likely to bring the TRD package for the India-spec Innova soon as the carmaker always offers the Fortuner with the same.
