Tata's new sub-4-metre sedan, the Tigor, will be introduced in the Indian market on March 29, 2017. It will compete with the likes of the Maruti Swift DZire, Honda Amaze, Volkswagen Ameo and the Ford Figo Aspire. And recently, the micro website of the Tigor has been made live and now you can even book the sedan online through its official website (www.tigor.tatamotors.com).
To book one, you need to login into the website and choose your state, city, dealer, fuel type of the sedan and your preferred colour from the six options — Berry Red, Espresso Brown, Pearlescent White, Platinum Silver, Striker Blue and Copper Dazzle. After this, all you need to do is pay Rs 5000 online.
Tata Motors is working hard to improve its image in the passenger vehicle segment. The Tata Tigor is the third car to be based on the Impact design philosophy, after the Hexa and Tiago. Tata introduced its new SUV, the Hexa, in the beginning of this year and the upcoming sedan is based on the popular hatchback Tiago. However, the Tigor has many additional features compared to the hatchback. It offers smoked dual-barrel projector headlamps, LED tail lamps, roof-mounted spoiler with an LED stop lamp, five-inch touchscreen infotainment system, reverse parking camera, 419 litres of boot space and an extra 50mm of wheelbase. In terms of mechanicals, it is powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.05-litre diesel engines as the Tiago. Both the engines are mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
