Over 50,000 Honda Amaze delivered to buyers
Honda's first ever diesel powered vehicle, Amaze proved to be a fruitful product for the company in the Indian car market. Since its introduction in the market, the company has managed to register an excellent growth, and last month the compact sedan alone drove Honda to record a sales growth of 39 per cent. Now, Amaze has achieved a yet another milestone, as Honda Cars India announced that the sales of the car has crossed 50,000 mark in the Indian car market.
In October 2013, Honda sold 11,214 units out of which Amaze compact sedan accounted for 9564 units. One can easily understand the popularity of the car by seeing that the waiting period for the hatchback is 4-5 months. Moreover, within three weeks of its launch, the vehicle out-shined the response of its arch rival Maruti Swift Dzire received at the launch, a year back. The company had recorded a whooping 22,000 bookings within three weeks of its launch.
Honda Amaze is being offered with both petrol and diesel guise. While the petrol model gets the renowned 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine, the diesel model is powered by a 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine that churns out a maximum power output of 98bhp. It is also the country's most fuel efficient car with a whooping 25.8kmpl of mileage.
