Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Petrol Launched At Rs 56 Lakh
The petrol version is nearly Rs 16 lakh cheaper than the diesel!
Yes, we’re quite shocked by the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited petrol’s launch price as well. At a price of Rs 56 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the difference between the prices of the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited diesel (Rs 71.59 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi) and petrol is enough to buy a Tata Hexa!
However, the headline is, of course, that the Wrangler Unlimited petrol is finally here. In fact, we got you exclusive word on this just a few days ago. Powering the petrol Wrangler Unlimited is an engine that propels over 5 million Jeep SUVs worldwide. The 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 motor is an all-aluminium unit and delivers 284PS of power at 6,350rpm and 347Nm of torque at 4,300rpm. The engine does seem to have been mildly detuned (reduction of 1PS and 5.5Nm) in comparison to the US-spec Wrangler Unlimited, which has most likely been done to account for the lower grade of fuel sold in India.
Reference: The diesel Wrangler Unlimited produces 200PS of power and 460Nm of torque.
The engine comes paired with a five-speed automatic gearbox which powers all four wheels through the Command-Trac 4WD system, so rest assured, no matter what fuel type you choose, you’re still getting a true-blue off-roader.
Key features of the Wrangler Unlimited petrol include McKinley leather seats, automatic climate control, keyless entry and auto headlamps. For entertainment, the SUV is offered with a nine-speaker Alpine music system and a 6.5-inch Uconnect touchscreen infotainment system that can be operated via voice commands.

You also get electronic stability control, electronic rollover mitigation, hill-descent control and hill-start assist. Unique features include a wash-out interior with removable carpets and drain-plugs, along with full-framed doors that are removable too.
At its price it, the Wrangler Unlimited petrol falls into the same range as SUVs like the BMW X3 petrol and Mercedes-Benz GLC petrol.
