Honda Jazz and Next-gen Audi A4 Gets 5-Star Euro NCAP Ratings
Euro NCAP, European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP) - car safety performance assessment programme based in Brussels, has released details of the cars they tested this month. Out of the four cars, Honda Jazz and the next-gen Audi A4 are relevant to India. Both 5th gen Audi A4 and 3rd gen Honda Jazz have passed the test with flying colors, receiving full five stars in their assessment tests.
Fifth gen Audi A4 will come to India next year, while Honda recently launched the third-gen Jazz in the country!
Although, Honda does not offer standard airbags on the Jazz in India, the car that was being tested came with standard multiple airbags along with other safety tech as per the European law. The Jazz scored 93% overall for adult occupant protection and 85% for child protection. In the pedestrian safety and safety assistance categories, the Jazz scored 73% and 71% respectively.

It is expected that Audi India will showcase the 5th generation sedan at the upcoming 2016 India Auto Expo in Feb with a subsequent launch later. The German automaker was also testing the new A4 in India, the vehicle was spied a couple times before its official reveal at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. Speaking of the results, the 5th gen A4 scored 90% overall for adult occupant protection and child protection score stood at 87%. In the pedestrian safety and safety assistance systems categories, the A4 scored 75% in both.
