Honda Amaze i-DTEC Diesel Spied- Pictures
Ever since the Japanese auto major Honda announced its plans of launching the Amaze in India, it became one of the most sought after vehicles, and why would it not be, after all it's going be the first ever diesel car from the carmaker, known for its world class vehicles. Now when the launch of the vehicle is merely weeks away, the first ever clear spy pictures of Amaze diesel have hit the interweb. A Team-BHP member has shared a fresh set of pictures of the Amaze, which also includes the i-DTEC diesel version. These pictures were caught at a dealership.
Honda Amaze is basically the extended version of the Brio hatchback, so both the cars share most parts including the platform and the features, however Amaze is likely to come up with more functions and features along with an additional boot.
While the petrol version of the Amaze will carry the similar 1.2-litre i-VTEC motor used in the Brio, it's diesel avatar will carry a 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine. The 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine belongs to the new generation powertrain technology Earth Dreams that 'realises both excellent driving performance and fuel economy at a high level'.
The company has however said anything officially about the fuel efficiency and power output of the Amaze diesel, we are hoping it have the best-in-class mileage and power. And if it happens, the segment leader Maruti Suzuki Dzire will have a genuine competitor in the form of Honda Amaze very soon. It's just the pricing that will play a cruicial role in deciding the future of Honda's first diesel car.
