Datsun redi-GO, GO+ MPV Now Available At Canteen Stores Department (CSD)
Opening a new option for buyers, Datsun announced today that its latest offering, the redi-GO, and the GO+ MPV can now be bought through Defence Ministry’s Canteen Stores Department (CSD). If any of the defence personnel opts for these cars, he/she is eligible for a discount of Rs 5,000 along with VAT exemption, exclusive offers and any of the ongoing scheme from the carmaker. On top of that, there will be priority delivery for such customers. Moreover, the carmaker plans to bring in special schemes for serving personnel and ex-servicemen of armed forces and their families in the country.

With the addition of the redi-GO and the GO+, Datsun now sells its complete range through the CSDs. At these stores, defence personnel can buy variants such as the GO T, GO+ T, redi-GO T, T (O) and S.

Extending the Datsun redi-Go and Datsun GO+ under CSD along with our other existing Nissan and Datsun models, is another step to provide one more reason for our customers to take home their favourite vehicle topped with exclusive offers," said Arun Malhotra, managing director, Nissan Motor India.
The latest entrant from the Japanese carmaker, the redi-GO, has been doing well with, reportedly, close to 20,000 units booked in a couple of months period. Launched at a competitive price of Rs 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the tall-boy designed car boasts spacious cabin and a boot space of 222 litres.
Under the sculpted bonnet of the redi-GO lies a 799cc three-cylinder petrol engine, developing 54PS and 72Nm of torque. It is linked to a five-speed manual gearbox and as per the reports, the Datsun Redi-Go mileage returns impressive figures of 25.17kmpl. To take care of the abrupt speed breakers, it stands tall at a segment leading 185mm of ground clearance.
With the promising redi-GO launch, it seems Nissan has found a way to hold its ground amid rising competition.
