Auto Expo 2012: Ford to invest $142 mn for a new SUV in India

Ford India is just on the brink of making a global announcement on its latest breakthrough in compact SUV segment with Ford EcoSport. And Ford India already seems to have a clear picture in front of it where the America-based auto major is ready to invest a huge sum to develop a new compact SUV along the same lines. Not long before during this electrifying environment right before the Auto Expo, Ford India made a dramatic announcement to invest $142 million to develop a new compact SUV meant for international markets at the company’s domestic manufacturing plant in Chennai.
