Volkswagen Polo R to develop 250bhp of power
German auto major Volkswagen has confirmed that its top-of-the line Polo hatch has entered into production. It will be the company's most powerful Polo ever to hit the roads.

Christened as Polo R, this hatchback gets the 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that churns out a maximum power output of 250bhp. The vehicle also offers an all-wheel drive system. This amount of power with light weight car and AWD system will be an exciting product to drive home. The Polo R will have an electronically limited top speed of 250kmph.
The Polo R is expected to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show and is likely to hit the showrooms by the end of this year. It is early to comment whether it will come to India or not, but we expect the chances for the Polo R to make its debut in India is very little. However, enthusiasts surely looking to see this model running over the Indian roads.
