Tata Nano's Left Hand Driven Version Spotted
Tata Nano, the world's cheapest car by far is currently exported to the markets like Nepal, Sri Lanka ,Bhutan and Bangladesh, is in the news for quite some time now for its left-hand driven version. In fact the Nano is doing considerably well these markets. Tata motors has been reportedly working on to develop the Nano with left hand drive so that it can be exported to other global markets including Africa, South-East Asia and Europe.
Recently, the left hand driven version of the Nano was spotted in Pune which made us believe that the preparation is in its last phase, and soon we might hear the same from Tata officials. Looking at the pictures one can easily notice that the interiors have been kept almost the same, it's just the steering wheel, which has been fitted in the left.
So these pictures suggest that this particular model is not Europe-bound, it has been especially designed for Afria and South-East Asia. And as the company said earlier “The Nano that is to debut in Europe will be significantly different, but will have same characteristics.”, so the Europeans might still have to wait for its launch there. And as per the word on street, the another invention from Tata, Megapixel which was showcased at Goodwood might hit the European markets before the Left-hand driven Nano.
