Skoda to roll out Rapid in three variants

Skoda India is gearing up to launch its much awaited sedan Skoda Rapid on November 16^th. Unveiled at the NTDV show at the studio, the new car has acquired an impressive number of fans. The Skoda Rapid will be offered in three variants – Skoda Rapid Active, Skoda Rapid Ambition and Skoda Rapid Elegance. The sedan is expected to be priced competitively, under the Volkswagen Vento sedan at around Rs 6.5 lakhs for its base variant, Acitve. Volkswagen Vento price for its base variant starts at Rs 6.99 lakhs.

With the affordable price and its availability in both petrol and diesel variants, the Skoda Rapid is believed to offer a stiff competition against Ford Fiesta, Hyundai Verna, Honda City, Volkswagen Vento, Nissan Sunny and Fiat Linea in the C segment sedans. The base variant Active is said to come laden with many attractive features like the 14 inch steel wheels, front and rear power windows, tilt and telescopic power steering, rear windscreen defogger, height adjustable front seat belts for passenger safety, front center armrest for extra comfort and an engine immobilizer for extended safety of the car. The mid variant Skoda Rapid Ambition will come equipped with all the features of Active and additional features including the safety measures, ABS, driver airbags, front and rear fog lamp and central locking system.

Skoda India has ensured the passenger comfort with the inclusion of rear arm rest, rear reading lamp and height adjustable driver seat. To enhance the allure of Skoda Rapid, the body colored side rear-view mirrors and door handles are included. The top variant, Skoda Rapid Elegance surpasses the expectations of the consumers with 15 inch alloy wheels to improve the sedan’s grip over the road. The comfort and entertainment features on the car include the on board computer, CD-MP3 player with speakers present on front and rear part of the car, automatic climate control for a balanced regulation of in-car temperature based on the users comfort levels, dual front airbags and electrically adjustable ORVMs.
