Rolls-Royce Extended Wheel-Base; Pace Car for Goodwood

The race director's car this year for the 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed is a the Rolls-Royce Ghost Extended Wheelbase. This is the designated pace car for the event. The Ghost boasts a V12 direct injection engine capable of delivering 563bhp which will be transferred via the 8-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle comes in mid-night sapphire colors with a silver satin bonnet. Other changes include a double-wishbone front suspension and a milti-link rear suspension.

This is combined with four cornered air-suspension system and electronic variable damping. The interiors are similarly bathed in style with hand crafted leathers and a panoramic sunroof. The hand stiched leather comes in crème light and navy blue. Yet another Rolls-Royce was featured at the uphill race for the sole purpose of ferrying media and VIPs. This was the Phantom Saloon Series II which was launched at the 2012 Geneva motor show.
