Renault Scala Caught in Pictures
Just when we thought that it would be a lazy weekend, we were proved so wrong! Reporting to you on a lazy Saturday, we bring to you the latest coming in about the Renault Scala (the name ring any bells?) as the first spy pictures of the Renault Scala saloon suface on the World Wide Web.

The Scala saloon is, as it is being termed, the Renault’s version of the Nissan Sunny. It is based on the same V platform that is used in both, Nissan Sunny and Nissan Micra. Obviously tweaked, rendered or whatever you want to call it. The front fascia gets a new hexagonal grille which add to the unique identity of the Scala and new headlamps.
The rear however is similar to the Sunny with tail lights getting a new reflector design. The Scala will get the same alloy wheels as the Renault’s hatch, Pulse. With changes kept to the minimum in the interiors, Scala will be launched possibly amidst Diwali celebrations.
The Renault Scala will be launched with identical engine that powers Sunny, the 1.5-litre diesel and similar configuration petrol powertrain. The diesel mill is capable of churning out 84.8bhp and petrol on the other hand is capable of 98bhp. The price however is expected to be a little different from Sunny because of the Renault-Nissan alliance. After the success of Renault Duster, expectations are high from the upcoming Scala and probably it seems, they will be fulfilled as well.
Here is one hoping for the best for both, Renault and the saloon segment of India!
