Range Rover Evoque crowned the ‘Best Import SUV of the Year’

The CNBC TV18/Overdrive Awards jury has named the all-new Range Rover Evoque as the 2012 Import SUV of the Year for its innovation in technology and design. The new Range Rover Evoque fought off stiff competition from the Mercedes G55 AMG, Porsche Cayenne, and the BMW X5 in the CNBC TV18/Overdrive India Import SUV of the Year category. The Evoque, which went on sale in India in November, has already tallied up 34 international awards. Mr Rohit Suri, Head of Premier Car Division, Jaguar Land Rover India said: "We are extremely delighted to win CNBC TV18/Overdrive’s Import SUV of the Year Award.

The judges consisting of the senior editorial team of Overdrive, and industry experts FIA GP2 racer Armaan Ebrahim, President of FMSCI Vicky Chandok, Sarath Kumar - National Motorcycling Champion, 5-time INRC winner Hari Singh and Gaurav Gill - WRC driver, also commended its Terrain Response, which adapts Range Rover Evoque’s engine, transmission and electronic systems to maximize drivability, comfort and traction.
