Popular cars to be unveiled in 2011
It seems that car companies are on new car launch spree since 2010. Similarly, looking at the number of upcoming cars in 2011, one can comfortably call it a year where there would be round-the-year sparkling Diwali for Indian car lovers. According to sources, there are over 92 new cars likely to be launched in different price segments this year.

The number of proposed launches in the year 2011 is surely a breather to the Indian car industry which was in much commotion soon after reports of a likely downturn in the sales flashed around the world. The year 2011 will see some really sparkling colors and several cars would be launched in every segment, from cheapest cars, luxury cars, hatchbacks, sedans, SUVs, to coupes one will have everything available.

However, there are some cars which will be of primary interest to the growing middle class in India, but wait, there would also be ample options available for SUV, sports car or sedan lovers as well. Among others, car lovers would be desperately waiting for Tata Nano Diesel, a three-cylinder diesel variant capable of delivering never before mileage of 25 kmpl. Apart from this, Tata Nano Hybrid will also be a much sought after car stated to be launched in November 2011. It will be priced around Rs1.92 lakh. Another car that is likely to be launched in October 2011 is the small segment car by Maruti-the Maruti Cervo.

This small segment car by Maruti is expected to be in the price range of Rs1.5 to Rs2 lakh. It is also hoped that Tata Nano Diesel and Maruti Cervo will be in close competition to each other and will be attracting a major chunk of the middle class buyer. Though the list of proposed launches is long but Toyota Etios Liva, Chevrolet Beat Diesel, 2011 Maruti Swift, Hyundai Verna 1.6 SX, Hyundai Santro Xing Diesel, Tata Prima, Fiat Grande Punto Evo, Fiat Bravo, Mitsubishi Colt, Tata Indica Vista Electric would be some names worth mentioning.
