    Volkswagen Virtus and Taigun recalled

The Volkswagen Virtus and Volkswagen Taigun have been recalled once again due to concerns over their seatbelts. The German carmaker has recalled 961 units of both the vehicles that are manufactured between December 2021 and May 2025. Also, the German carmaker has previously recalled both these models for a similar reason back in April 2025.

    What’s The Reason For Recall?

According to information from Society Of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), it has been found that the left and right side rear seat belt metal base could crack. Also, there are chances that an incorrect part could have been installed in the front and rear seat belts.

    What Should Affected Owners Do?

Volkswagen India is yet to roll out an official announcement. However, as standard operating procedures in such cases, we expect the carmaker to contact owners of affected vehicles to bring their vehicle for inspection. After a thorough inspection, the affected parts will be replaced at no additional cost. We would also advise owners to get their vehicle inspected at the earliest as this is a safety hazard.
