Nissan Sunny facelift interiors revealed. Coming in September

Nissan Sunny is also sold in the North American market as the Versa. It has the same chassis, however, it is available with only a petrol engine there. The Versa had the same exterior and interior design like the Sunny, and now the images of the upgraded version have been revealed in North America. India will also receive similar changes, as the exterior is the same like the Versa.

The changes on the exterior are prominent as the front is bold anchored by larger headlights, a more substantial looking fascia and standard chrome plating on the grille. The list of exterior upgrades also includes a new fog light finisher design, new side mirror designs and a more dynamic rear fascia design.

The vehicle dimensions are the same so it still offers five-passenger practicality. The rear space is just brilliant on the Sunny and the buyers will still get that. The enhancements for the new model include a new center stack shape, a revised meter display with white LED display and a new, more substantial, steering wheel with standard audio and Bluetooth Hands-free Phone System controls.

This also gets an outside temperature display, USB/iPod controls, upgraded fabric headliner, map light with key-linked illuminated entry and silver finishers on the center instrument panel cluster. The top of the line variants will still retain Nissan Intelligent Key with Push Button Ignition and an AM/FM/CD/USB-iPod audio system with 5.0-inch display and NissanConnectSM with Mobile Apps.

Other available interior features include trip computer with outside temperature display, power windows with driver's one-touch down, speed-sensing auto door locks and remote trunk release lever.

The India-spec car will be launched in September and it will be available with an option of petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol will come with manual or x-CVT variants, while the diesel will get the 1.5-litre mill producing 85bhp and will come mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The underpinnings of the Nissan Sunny facelift will also remain unchanged.

Our sources confirm that the Sunny will be available before the festive season and the company will be looking to upgrade the colour options to something that is a lot sportier for the younger audience, hence apart from the sober colour options, we could see trendy colours like purple also be made available on the Nissan Sunny. The Micra had received a major upgrade last year and now the company prepares to titivate the Sunny also.
